Our Cause, Our Story
Who We Are

Play for All was founded by student-athletes who saw firsthand how access to sports can change lives—and how often that access is limited by financial or social barriers. What started as a simple idea between teammates grew into a nonprofit movement focused on equity in athletics. Our purpose is to give every young athlete the chance to play, grow, and thrive—regardless of background. Through equipment donations, program support, and community partnerships, we’re creating a future where every kid has a place on the team.
Purpose
Play for All is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making sports accessible to every young athlete, regardless of background or resources. Founded by student-athletes, we believe that every kid deserves the chance to compete, grow, and belong through team sports. By providing equipment, support, and opportunities, we break down barriers and build a more inclusive future—one game at a time.

Meet Our Team
Our team is made up of passionate individuals dedicated to our cause and values. Get to know the faces behind Play For All:

Naveen Nayak
Co-Founder and President
Naveen is a multi-sport athlete who plays both basketball and soccer for the Wenatchee High School. Over the past five years, he’s seen firsthand the lack of diversity and financial accessibility in youth sports—especially in basketball—within his hometown of Wenatchee. Despite the city’s diverse population, local teams often don’t reflect that diversity. A major factor is the high cost associated with playing both basketball and soccer, which creates a barrier for many families. Determined to make a change, Naveen teamed up with his partner Gael and a group of peers to launch a multi-sport league focused on serving low-income youth in the Wenatchee Valley. Using his platform as an athlete, Naveen is committed to restoring equity in youth sports and ensuring every kid has the same opportunities he was fortunate to receive.

Gael Nunez
From a young age, Gael's connection to the community has always been strong. Through his work at Advanced Energy Management to his selflessness on the soccer field, Gael has always made his presence known in a positive manner. He loves to coach youth in the beautiful game he’s played his entire life. Most importantly, he wants to make a positive impact on kids’ lives, no matter what direction they decide to go. He’s very charismatic, consistently proving his outstanding leadership ability. Gael’s energy and personality are what make PFA a viable option for any kid to participate in, as he instills these traits in everyone around him. Both Naveen and Gael share one common goal: to make sure no kid is left behind in youth sports. With Gael’s love for the community and Naveen’s compassion, the two have made Play for All a safe and appealing environment for youth to participate in and develop their skills.
